I've had this board since release. Awesome board and the torque is amazing. Me and my buddy both got one and we both have confirmed that these boards are head turners. As a bigger rider, the bigger motors and gear drive makes riding so much more smoother and comfortable. Surprisingly capable off-roading board when bigger wheels (120mm Cloudwheels) are put on. Overall, pretty awesome and backfire support was on point from day 1.

So far overall the backfire zealot x2 is an amazing ride, great torque, stable and maneuverable with tightened trucks at high speed, although there are a few minor issues I’ve found. The biggest one being the board’s odometer seems to reset every time at 256KM I assume it’s something to do with the 256 bit design of the lorentez remote however it’s still frustrating to have to keep mental note of how many times the remote has reset the odometer. Secondly there is no way to connect the board to the backfire app it’s just not supported, again minor issue but still a little frustrating. Finally there seems to be a sort of “safety Feature” built into the software, when going full throttle/top speed in turbo gear if you let go of the acceleration and let the thumb wheel go into the “neutral” position the board will automatically apply about 35% brake until the speed is below 42 or so, this is probably the most dangerous issue because the first few times It happened to me I almost lost my balance several times while going 50kph Due to the unexpected brake. Now that I am aware of this I’ll be expecting it but it’s still not something that I think should’ve been implemented. Aside from those three things I think the zealot x2 is a great high performance board, the lighting is amazing in darker conditions and not so good In daylight (as expected)

Excellent high-quality board. If you want a rocket propelled skate, you should ride this one. Excellent maniability, thrust, longevity, battery capacity, ... However, The board is really noisy and you will need the bigger wheels (the initial ones are making you eat any bump) and the board is heavy, so I recommend you to place the front handle. Also, with the speeds that you will achieve, please, have a decent gear on you (a helmet is NOT sufficient enough). My personnal bike protections really saved my body for a crash that I had while speeding at 40 km/h with the board. So yes, if you want a high-quality product, you can buy this one eye-closed but know the risks that such toy can bring ;)

4.8 STARS. Everything spec wise about the board is great so far. Good range, good top speed, good acceleration good design. I take .1 off for the stiffness of the board. If the deck it self was a little more flexy it would be perfect. I’ve ridden a bunch of boards and it’s always nice to have some flex it makes the ride much more enjoyable and absorbs some of the vibrations. The other .1 is a design flaw in my opinion the wording in the bottom of the board that says made in china in bold letters just brings the appeal of the board down. That’s why I tried to color match it and paint over it you can see in the picture it looks much better to just have that area white.

Board is very good but the only negative is that after just 100km two of my wheels had pieces starting to fall off them, which never happened with my old board. I guess the wheel material is worse so be prepared to purchase multiple sets

This is my 4th Backfire electric board and 5th overall. While it’s tough to beat the bamboo heaven of the original zealot, this board is definitely premium feel, premium ride, premium comfort. The board is perfect width for my huge feet and by some voodoo magic I’m able to keep the trucks loose for ultra-tight turns while keeping them tight enough for zero wobble and incredible stability at higher speeds- I think that is what sets this board apart, besides the slick led lights outlining the board.

I have been using my Zealot X for over a month and have ridden a total of 900 kilometers. In this review, I will share my thoughts on the board and highlight some aspects that I haven't seen in many online reviews. First and foremost, the board is incredible to ride. The acceleration is thrilling, and it offers stunning stability at all speeds, making for an amazing experience. However, it is important to note that the board's stiffness may not be suitable for everyone, especially those who prefer a more flexible ride. That being said, the stiffness of the board does not affect its performance on rough roads. In my experience, the ride is stable, except on really bad roads with very uneven terrain. One point to keep in mind is that the motor mounts hang very close to the ground, which can result in the motor getting scratched easily. Although you can try to remember where there is a chance for the motor mounts to get scratched and drag the back of the board over the obstacle, you cannot avoid this problem 80% of the time, and the motors will eventually get scratched. Therefore, it is important to be mindful of the motor's position while riding. During my second day of using the board, I experienced an accident due to an issue with the board's braking system. When the remote's wheel is turned all the way back, the wheels will begin to lock, causing the board to lose traction and throwing me off. It's a significant issue that needs to be addressed. Regardless of the level of braking power you use in the tuning settings for each speed mode, this problem persists. It's important for riders to be aware of this issue, as it can be dangerous. Backfire is aware of this problem and is looking into a solution, such as new firmware for the remote or some other fix. In any case, it's crucial to practice emergency braking techniques, as the wheels will lock if you turn the remote wheel past 90% during braking. Another point worth mentioning is the battery and the almost non-existent battery sack. While this may not be a concern for many, it is important to note that the board's battery provides equal power throughout your ride and always delivers the best performance, even if you don't have much power left. This is a testament to the board's longevity and superior design, ensuring that you can enjoy your ride to the fullest, regardless of how much power you have left. Overall, the Zealot X offers excellent performance and a stunning design, including ice blue LEDs all around the board's deck, while also having some issues to be aware of. The riding experience is stunning, and the board is incredibly stable.

I love this board! It has alot of power even when the batteries almost dead I have 120 miles on it but I still have a hard time going full throttle to top speed on turbo. Being able to get up to 25 mph+ in no time helps a lot with dealing with traffic. The trucks are amazing on the zealot x, I loved the trucks on my zealot s but these feel more stable going high speeds while still being super fun to carvy and I feel more comfortable carving at higher speeds. The deck was the one thing I wasn’t to exited for because of the stiffness but it’s still comfortable and feels way more stable on rough roads and unexpected bumps at high speed. The lights look incredible they’re super bright and are visible during the day too. everything about the board feels premium and to top it off you have the halo remote witch is one of the best esk8 remotes on the market.

This board is pure quality! You can very quickly tell the entire project was designed from the ground up...not just a skateboard with a motor built into it like most brands in this price point. The lighting is amazing and the board feels incredibly safe and stable....the brakes are amazing and give you full confidence and control. My only constructive feedback is that there could have been better instructions for the board and the remote. VERY HAPPY AND LOVE THE BOARD!!!!

This thing is a beast. 4.5 only because the remote is a little uncomfortable to hold, but you'll get used to it. I do wish the start up/boot up lights were togglable( i don't like when it lights up when I turn it on). The sensitivity of the acceleration and brake at first was very sensitive but it is adjustable. Very silent, but makes a electric whirrrr sound when accelerating which is no big deal. Overall, great product, only wish it didn't weigh like an elephant.

Great board and tons of fun. It's a heavy board so it's not something to be carrying around but for short trips or joyrides it's absolutely great. Not a board for beginners and I would recommend a helmet when using.

I love this board! I get constant compliments and questions about it. The torque and speed are thrilling every time I get on. The wheels that it comes with make for a terrible ride. Within three days one of my wheels had a huge gash taken out of it. I contacted the company and they sent me a new one right away. I ended up switching to the mad 105 wheels and it’s a night and day difference in ride quality. The overall range dropped with the new wheels but the ride quality makes it worth it.

The board is a great design nice, wide and flexible. The green light is so bright!! But doesn't turn any other color besides the green that really sucks... the wheels really suck as well i literally had it for a month and the wheels are falling apart the wheels are also way to low and whenever I go over something that's not flat, it scrapes the motor frames and the battery cover. so after a month the board looks like it's 5 years old... it's very fast and definitely goes over 30 mph it also last long I can go all over town literally...I like the remote but seems very light and cheap and if u fall that remote is toast. The fingerprint scanner on the remote is also pretty cool. Also the grip tape is coming off and peeling like really!! Its over 1k and this is what I get 😒
