      I have been trying to find out for months if there is a remote that is compatible with this particular model which I think is the 2017 G2. It but then I read from someone on Facebook who bought one that it wasn't I also wrote an email months ago and never got a response so could someone please just simply let me know. I hate to spend as much as the whole skateboard is basically worth just to replace the remote but I also don't want to create this much e-waste and throw the whole thing out for no reason simply cuz someone can't figure out a new pairing remote. Please let me know because I would hate to have people think that I was forced to throw this entire thing out over something so silly even though paying over $80 hurts quite a bit for such an old board. I hate to say it but I'm really starting to regret going with this company because I've been having such a incredibly hard time and I have not been able to use this for months. I was also wondering if and how much it would cost to replace the battery when needed? I just have a hard time believing that any company would create this much of an e-waste nightmare on such an easily solvable problem Even if it's replacing the ESC and the remote with a cheap version to keep it going. Things like this should never be just completely unreparable especially after paying $500 originally.

      It has the lifespan of a goldfish. The battery after a few years is already so bad I can’t go for a ride longer than 30 minutes. The case broke within a few months and I had to use a 3D pen to fix it. It had huge huge issues with the scroll wheel getting stuck at max meaning I can have my board stuck at full throttle. The battery inflated and buldged the screen at one point and it also has a habit of disconnecting mid ride which has left me with a broken pinky, cracked battery cases and a fractured Board. I really wouldn’t advise this remote let alone this brand. I initially loved backfire but it genuinely seems like they’re products are made to break right after warranty

      Ordered as a replacement because my old remote quite literally got stolen during a robbery. Ordered with priority and got it super fast. I also fell on the remote right after receiving it, and the spring popped out. Support got back to me in less than a few hours and gave me instructions on how to fix it. Definitely recommend.

      Legit bought this so I could use the app with my g2 black. Bunk! Doesn’t work. Use the free ride app. Wasted $80. I’m starting to convince myself to go with the Exway or milesboard for my next board. I bought the g2 black because of the amount of modifications I could do to this particular board. But unable to use the app built by the company.

      Store owner replied: R2 remote has Bluetooth function to connect to the App ( make sure double click the turbo button to turn on the Bluetooth data). However, Backfire App is on re-development now. Please kindly check back in the future for the App.

      Crappy battery life - it came with my G3 - never held a charge longer than 20 minutes - since i got it brand new with board - I like the G3 board - but because of this remote not holding a charge - my whole experience is ruined.

      Store owner replied: Please kindly reach out to our tech support, we can work with you for a replacement remote to see if it fix the issue. Meantime, while we review the video, we noticed the board was used in very wet conditions, kindly remind you that the board could result in bearing damages, electric damages if got water damage. Please try to avoid using in very wet conditions. IP55 splash water resistant is NOT waterproof, which means you can only use on road ground, go cross small puddles only.

      Backfire shipped this out to me in less than a week. Thank you for being a great company. The remote is pretty durable and feels comfortable. I recommend gradually releasing the wheel versus just letting go when accelerating. The button for switching modes could be bigger so I don't feel like I have to look at the remote when switching. The hole is too small to put my finger in. The leash could be stretchy and maybe a little bigger.

      The service was excellent, with very quick responses. Even though it was an international shipment, the price was clearly displayed including shipping, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the product I received stopped working after about 70 days. However, since it was still within the 90-day warranty period, they agreed to send me a replacement, and I am currently waiting for it to be shipped. I am very grateful for their excellent customer support.
