Specs of Chargers & Battery ? Is there any way to service or replace the battery ?
The standard charger is 34.8V, 2.4A (83.5W), while the GaN fast charger is 34.8V, 4.85A. NALU's battery has a capacity of 136.8Wh(30.4V 4.5Ah).
The battery is replaceable, and we offer plenty of spare parts on Backfire Boards official website. Even if the product is discontinued, we will keep parts available for five years. lf you prefer not to replace the battery yourself, you can send it to one of our service centers in China, the U.S., Canada, Australia ,or Germany
Is it convenient to surf pump it?
No problem at all. When it's not powered, the motor offers no resistance-it feels just like a regular surf skateboard.
About Customs Fees and Tax:
For the U.S., Australia, Canada, and the EU, we will ship to our local warehouses first, then send it out via carriers. There are no customs or tax fees for these regions.
For other areas, customs fees and taxes will need to be covered by you.

Really loving my experience so far with the Nalu. Bought it on a whim not knowing how much I would like it. It’s really the perfect commuter board in size, style, and features. I also will say that for the record I cannot skateboard at all. I do however snowboard and in a day or two I was riding this thing max speed feeling super comfortable because of the crossover feeling between snowboarding and surf skating. It shocked me! The one negative is riding it around the streets of New York can be rough. It does not do potholes, cracks, and sidewalks well at all. The one thing that saves it is the maneuverability of it lets me generally work around that stuff, but I have to be paying 100% attention the whole time. It also is dangerous to ride when the road is wet so be careful if you’re doing that. All in all, very happy with my purchase and excited to own my first very own electric skateboard!
This board ROCKS! It feels so smooth, handles easily and catches all the eyes. Very well finished, a real beauty for a reasonable price. The waiting was the only thing that took quite of patience

Would work a bit on the remote since it doesn't tell the right charging procentage and it skips randomly, not a big deal, just saying.

I've been riding the Backfire Nalu for a while now, and it is hands-down some of the most fun I've had on wheels.
It’s insanely nimble and smooth. I constantly take it out on my lunch breaks at work just to blow off some steam and carve around the yard, and it's built so well for quick, fun sessions. It’s also turned into the ultimate hit with the family cruising around and riding alongside my nieces and nephews on their bikes and scooters has been an absolute joy.
If you're looking for something that's effortless to pick up, super smooth to carve on, and just pure fun to ride, the Nalu hits the sweet spot. Highly recommend it!
My light is barely working after barely 2 months . The main Reason I bought this board was because of the light and now only a small section turns on. I really like the board But without this light working it's not so Cool for me . I messaged them and they got back to me and said they would send me a new board frame. You guys are the best. I first received the board, but the lights didn’t work. I sent it back to get repaired and got the board repaired. Unfortunately, when he came back. The front trunks on the nose side where incorrectly placed as per pictures. I will need to send it back so that the backfire team can put the trucks correctly
Long story short: I love it
It’s a beautiful board and strong. You can feel the good quality of the materials.
I enjoy like a kid when I surf in fast mode, I feel like I’m going downhills on my snowboard.
Concerning the range I made a bit more than 20km riding in normal conditions.

It will be nice if it could be possible to keep the light on in the lower intensity mode as well, but this is a very little thing.
Fantastic, lightweight, portable, beautifully designed, with a range of 17 to 21 kilometers.
Super stable and with a great turning radius. I have several e-skates, and this one is the most fun with the surf truck.
The experience is different; you don't need much speed or a long range to have a great time. Carving in a small space is extraordinary.
I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to do some snowboarding in the off-season and on the streets.

I ordered the Backfire Nalu surfboard and it took over two months to arrive, which I found quite long. However, customer support was responsive and answered all my questions promptly. The board was securely packaged, and the material quality is impressive. It’s quite powerful for its class, with a decent range. Overall, I’m satisfied with the purchase.

What it lacks in range and power it makes up in dexterity and sheer fun.

Great for playful commuting to work and back, 6km each way. Has plenty of battery to extend the my commutes if I feel like it.
Although it doesn't turn as strongly as the YOW Meraki it still feels like a solid surfskate :)
Super lightweight board. The range is like 12-15 km with a 60kg rider. Not 20-25 as advertised. I also had a problem with a power button on the remote, it presses only 50% of the time.
Actually, I haven't ridden it myself yet. My has it in Germany while I am staying in Taiwan. He appears to enjoy riding it though, even though he'd like it to have more range. He praises its light weight and the sleak design. He would have preferred a longer kicktail, since he's tall and comes from longboarding. As he's never ridden a surfskate before, he's not used to the looseness of the front truck but got used to it quickly, because the board rides very stable with its large wheels. I hope I will have the chance to ride it in the near future, too.

Its been a couple months and about 150 miles total. I use it for the fun of cruising and carving about 50% of the time, and the rest is errands and trips to work. Most of the pavement here is rough and the board handles it well. At 5 foot six inches tall, 150 pounds I get a max turbo speed of 16 mph. The trip home from work is 7 miles, mostly uphill and it completes it starting from full charge. I typically run it in sport mode for errands and trips and turbo for cruising. The wheels urethane is holding up well at 150 miles. I have not noticed any degradation in motor performance or battery performance. I do ride it daily, follow the instructions for charging and this may affect the battery performance. I have not let it sit idle longer than 2 days. For the amount of daily use, from getting food on my lunch break, or just cruising for fun, I feel this is a solid purchase for the price. Definitely recommend

It’s not the best option for long rides — it’s not super fast and the autonomy is a bit short — but it totally makes up for it with its compact size and practicality.

The Nalu is a beautiful board that is well designed and constructed. It is stable, agile and fun. Great for carving and enjoying time out skating. It works wonderfully for exactly what it is. I have enjoyed every second with it. I am looking forward to finding a pump track to try, but in the mean time, I’ll be carving up the pavement.🙂 Thank you Backfire for adding this to the line up.
I love this board! I preordered it back in October of 2024 and it did not disappoint. I got the board at the beginning of February and I’ve already put almost 400 km on it. It’s super fun, I only wish it had a longer range.
I wanted to get better balance on a skateboard but would get tired from pushing myself up hill and shit like that so being able to have a consistent motion of movement to focus on training balance and steering it is awesome. Not too sure what some of the remote vibrations mean, I get a good idea of what it could mean if the battery is low but I'll just be riding and it vibrates for some reason.
I absolutely love this board. It’s a board that I generally don’t even have to leave my street and I can have a good time on it. I’ve never ridden a surf skateboard and it’s a whole new experience.
Fun little electric surfskate. Nothing else quite like it. Good for very short rides or just messing around in a skate park/smooth area. Edge light looks great too.
The board is exactly what was advertised. It's fun to ride, works great as a commuter board and it's pretty. I love it. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the app. It doesn't work and is frustrating.
