Backfire G3 with Super Flexible Deck

The board and build quality is super solid. “Super flexy” just means it isn’t as bad as a carbon fibre deck, but this board is still pretty rigid, compared to any bamboo/fibreglass mixes you might’ve seen out there. The Canadian maple wood is tough! Good acceleration and great braking, can easily reach 40km/hr as a 165lb rider, but with extra weight that max limit steeply decreases, as I’ve learned when I wear a backpack. The lights are semi cool in the day but actually quite useful at night, they light up the street! One complaints is that there is no option for 110mm wheels, such as if you added cloud wheels, though 105mm gets pretty close. My one true grievance is that the remote has the worst battery life I have ever seen on any wireless device. Right out of the box it has only been able to hold a full charge for a maximum of half an hour before it dies, which is absolutely absurd. My previous e-board the Wowgo 3 had a remote with a battery life of at least 6 hours, meaning I would charge it about once or twice a week, with many trips in between. The G3’s remote battery life means I have often become instantly lost/stranded after riding for only about 30 minutes when my remote dies and my board still has full battery. When I saw the additional USB charger on the board, I did not realize it was because the remote battery was such bad quality that you are expected to get off your board, plug in your remote, and let it charge for 20 minutes between each half hour of riding. I truly want to believe I received a defective unit, since there is no more information being processed or transmitted on this remote than any other e-board remote I’ve ever used, it simply shouldn’t lose power like this. I ride a consistent 25km/h, with the lights off, turbo off, and on smooth roads, I don’t get it! The usability and build quality of the board and remote are incredible and they are so intuitively synced, it’s just this darn remote battery!

The Backfire is fire, love it, very sturdy and flexy. recommend for the beginner and hobbier.

The feeling of riding the Backfire G3 board is fantastic, very good control! I had to tighten the Barings on the trucks in order to not wobbling on high speed, but after that its stable. I hope future versions can be made with more compact battery, this in order to make lighter long boards, even just 1 kg lighter would be great!

I literally got 46 km on a single charge and I was riding in sport mode most of the time the range is absolutely amazing. Really shocked me.

3 weeks in and I've put over 300 miles on it but do use it as a daily commuter. I weight about 140s and walk up hills that are grater than 30% incline, and was able to get 35 miles on one charge with riding up hills no more than 30% incline and carving in-between but nothing crazy. I really wish I had taken a picture to prove it but I used eco mode 90% of the time and the other 10% was Sport and tiny bit of turbo, This is with the new 311 battery and had to charge up the controller a little but the board will definitely do 30 miles if you know how to use it right and not just full speed you're way everywhere. I still choose to ride this over a car it's just so fun and portable. At least if it starts raining I can uber home with my g3 that easily fits in a car no problem, can't just hop in the car with a bike.

Amazing. Rides like butter. Super flexy which makes it a really comfortable ride. Decent range and speed, definitely worth the price.

Fast light and fun stay safe

My first Esk8, week one review. Skated all my youth, from clay wheels to the first Cadillac's and Road Riders, but I haven't skated since the '80s. Board came in 2 days! Beautifully packaged and padded too. Extra tools a plus. Could have used a 'quick start guide' but I just plugged in all the chargers and watched and waited. Good user guide for the remote. The truck mounting bolts were a little loose, so check everything before your first ride. The ride: I cruse and carve on my neighborhood's flat smooth pavement. I got 4, half-hour rides on the E setting and still had 35% battery. Smooth remote, fun flexy board, carves great, plenty of power for me. I'm super stoked!

Had the G2 for a year then upgraded to the g3!! The power and battery life surpasses it 100 percent! Absolutely loving it me and my friends go out everyday!

The board has worked exactly as advertised, even better. I never am running out of range, and it's unbelievably fast. The bamboo board is light, I have no issue carrying it into class. Would totally recommend.

3 years in review - My battery power button stopped working a few months in, Backfire customer service is not friendly or professional but they did send me a new battery free of charge. Recently the board won't turn on without it being plugged in. I have also had the board turn off a few times while riding and the battery still has plenty of charge left, then I have to kick push the board home and turn it on with the charger plugged in. Also, when it is cold outside the board operates at about 50% power until a few minutes of riding.

I've had an amazing experience with my board. I've had it for 6months and I'm very satisfied with the craftsmanship of the board, arguably one of the smoothest longboards I've ever ridden and great range... just beautiful all-around. I high recommend!!

Board was great! Key word "was"! After receiving the board in the mail on March 9th(Birthday gift to myself) I rode the board everyday to work and back. Only been able to travel off the beaten path once or twice due to work. But nonetheless I was able to take the board out get some "me time" in for a change earlier this afternoon(March 16th) when a woman which was making a right turn on a red light refused to stop at the crosswalk in which I was riding across with a "walk" sign illuminated, struck me sending me across her hood whilst her front driverside tire rolled over my board snapping it into two pieces and cracking the battery housing. Will send pics as soon as I pick up the board from "Evidence"! As for the Backfire company, once again the customer service was great and my order was here swiftly and with no hiccups. After almost 7k miles, this board is ready to retire. A really good investment that took the boredom out of my life! Now I’m ready for something bigger and better, but this board will always be remembered.

Bought this for my son. He absolutely LOVES the G3. However, we didn't plan for how quickly the battery would die after a full charge. He rode for about an hour and it died. Immediately I was looking to make sure it was the upgraded battery. In either case be sure to calculate how far you go so you're not walking or manually skating 10 miles back to the car :( Other than that he loves it.

I love it! I don’t know why I put off buying this for so long. Don’t make the same mistake I made. Don’t wait buy one now! I would ride it inside my work if they would let me. They don’t I was told more than once.

I first rode an E board � about 5 months before buying 1 myself and I am not disappointed in any way. I will say you should be very careful while riding because the speed can be very sketchy while riding on turbo mode l. Overall a very fun thing to have

Love the performance and ride of my G3. It is very fast and the learning curve was only a few minutes. I have never skateboarded or eboarded before. I primarily use it as a last mile transport in NYC. I have a few gripes though about the product as a whole. Firstly, having to switch a toggle button to reverse is counter-intuitive. I feel like in commuting situations, such as waiting for a traffic light, the ability to roll backwards without stepping off the board or losing concentration by having to fiddle with the remote would be not only safer, but offer a huge performance benefit by giving the rider an added level of control. Secondly, though I have only been exposed to e-boarding for the last week and a half, I have luckily been able to try a variety of boards from different brands. Exway boards has a feature that when you turn on the remote the board also powers up. On my backfire G3 having to bend over and turn on the board as well as fidget with the remote to see if they are on and connected is time consuming. You may think that it is just a few seconds but on a busy Manhattan street having the ability to immediately deploy and ride your board is much MUCH safer. Lastly, which I believe if improved, would rectify my first two gripes above is the backfire app on your phone. It is currently useless. I don't know what it's for, what problems it solves, and it's connectivity with your board is not quick or useful. Exway has tons of amazing options and customization ability. If backfire would literally just copy the same use functions of exway, backfire would propel into a top tier product deserving no less then 10 stars on every review. Perhaps maybe even offer a firmware update through the application to your board that allows custom options such as using the wheel to go forward as well as reverse, and having a one touch option on your remote to also wake up your board. I hope that backfire can heed this review. I do enjoy my g3 as a whole, but would not buy another backfire product unless these features get introduced nor can I recommend backfire to people asking me if they should purchase one themselves. I am personally using this board as a means to an end and not a recreational tool so not having certain functions wear down on me daily when I know other brands have implemented them flawlessly.

This G3 is a replacement for the same that was stolen. I was super happy with my original board and had great, friendly customer service. Why would I shop another brand? I did look around but this is a great board for the price. Can’t wait for the weather to warm up again.

This was my sons first time on his new board. Since then he’s put about 30 hours on it, I can’t keep him in the house. Before it was mostly video games but not anymore. He gets home grabs his board and goes. Unfortunately winter is coming but I guarantee he’ll be outside when the streets clear. Do yourself a favor and get this for your kid or yourself. I even ordered one so we can shred together. Probably going to start a backfire Eboard gang and take over the streets of northwest Indiana. I can’t be happier with my purchase. I will update here in a few months on how it’s going.

I have had the board for about 5 months now and it is great I ride it everywhere I can I highly recommend the cloud wheel upgrade it makes a world of difference

So i will start by saying that a week after receiving i had the baseplate snap. I called and emailed and they IMMEDIATELY replaced by giving me caliber 3 (so an upgrade) trucks and they even threw in a set of cloud wheels. I think the company is great, although they certainly tried saving some $ in some areas. I understand and they cut costs in areas that aren’t all that important. With that being said, customer service saved the day n they now unless it just really shi*ts the bed, have a customer for life.

Upgraded from the Meepo Shuffle. Much smoother ride and 2x the distance. I love it!

Got the board a week ago now and it had a bad battery. The battery would run out at 50% and only be able to go 3 miles. However I emailed their customer support and they sent a battery the next day and it works great. The board is so much smoother than I had even thought possible. I thought my last board was good but I was so wrong.

Having never ridden a skateboard before this board was very easy to ride and has more power than you’ll ever need. One of the best looking boards out there imo. The remote is comfortable and can take a beating (I fell off and smashed it against the ground while trying to catch my fall and it still works fine). I like that you can upgrade/swap out parts easily with the tools provided to you and you can purchase parts directly from backfire.

I’ve had my board for a couple weeks now, and absolutely love it. Im 32 years old, and wasn’t that good at regular skateboarding, but with the break system on this board i’m able to hop on without issues. Recommend highly for those with poor balance such as myself that wishes to just cruise around, and look cool doing it. I have the g3 model, and with the model having a usb port i’m able to plug in a set of lights to act as underglow! 5 star product. Took me no time at all to learn to carve around outside of the eco mode. This thing zooms!

I’m hooked! Used to longboard religiously in my early 20’s, now in my late 30’s I’ve found my fix. This board is awesome! My first eskate and couldn’t get happier. Already put 175 miles in less than a month. And already looking for an all terrain board (X3) bc of how much I’m loving this!

My G3 has been incredible! 1586 miles out of original motors. I just replaced both motors and cloud wheels. Covid has destroyed my lungs. This board gets me out and moving every day. I have probably sold a dozen boards by sharing mine all the time. I'm a fan for life! Need a rep in the Victorville California area?

After months of extensive research the G3 seemed like the best board at this price point… and believe me it IS. I have about 70 miles on the board so far and let me tell you this board is AMAZING. It’s so much fun to ride, it has all the torque and range you’ll ever need

If you're a beginner it may take some getting used to. For first time electric riders having to remember to brace each leg on acceleration and deceleration is curcial. Overall I enjoy my purchase and the battery life seems to hold up. I haven't used it on an extended drive yet but soon I'll see how long the trip lasts. The trucks come loose originally so if you have balancing issues I recommend getting them tightened up a bit. Overall a great ride!

I bought this board to start with because compared to other companies it’s the best bang for your buck. I did months of extensive research to ensure I wouldn’t stumble upon another board that I’d want. Many hundreds of miles have past and this board just keeps amazing me. With high gas prices this board is what the world needs to switch too. The adrenaline rush you get from the comfortability is also exhilarating. I have a perfectly functioning and gas efficient vehicle but nothing compares to this. My truck is mint because of it. Uphill, downhill it don’t matter. And you can upgrade this thing to your personal preference. I ride with a group of one wheelers and I still take the spotlight with ease. Do the same for yourself!

Great board! Bottoms out a little more than I like but other than that it is perfect.

Love this board!! Out the box half charge got 9 miles with two bars left. Full charge today got me 16 miles with one bar left. Im riding hard in sport mode. Very happy with the speed, sport mode is plenty fast. Brakes are very responsive. Helmet recommended.

I've rode this board almost everyday for a whole year 1731 miles strong, had to replace a few parts but that's expected for how I use it. Backfire support has been very helpful. Advise I have is don't get to comfortable at high speeds trust me I would know.

Backgroind experience, I've probably only ridden a regular skateboard for less than 3 miles my whole life. I really like this board, ive put 25 miles in 4 days, and couldnt put it down. I wish I had gotten the All terrain (AT) Ranger x3 Model. There's nothing wrong with this board, it's the best entry in class at 650, compared to others. Very affordable, but someone like me , with bad joints, I need a softer ride, hence the ranger x3 with twice the wheel size. The ranger x3 is in my cart, im waiting another few weeks before I pull the trigger!

Best investment I’ve ever made. This thing eats up hills you will feel like the silver surfer lol. It has the power to overtake bicycles and the brakes to stop if you come up to a crowd. The acceleration on sport mode almost threw me off the first time riding it because I was not expecting the torque. You really need to lean forward and push against the acceleration with your back foot. Once you ride around a few miles you quickly become comfortable and realize that with the right truck tuning, you can go FAST with no wobbles. My only complaint is I wish the range was a little better- but that’s to be expected with a budget board. Amazing product and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to purchase an e board!

I was a new rider, this board was perfect for me learning, and pushing boundaries. Battery life has been blowing me away. After my first charge up, I was able to get 16miles and it still has 3 bars of charge left for the ride later! The 96mm wheels really do tackle most obstacles(small rocks,twigs) just be cations on sidewalks those can be very inconsistent. If you are on the fence about skating, don’t worry. It is easily leaned and you will pick up a Great product and a fun new hobby. �

The board is really great. I get about 18 -20 mile range at around 15 mph average speed. I use this to commute to work on days that are nice enough it’s a 10 mile ride each way and it’s been great. The motors are very quiet and you can barley hear them. Acceleration is impressive and the braking is quite good. I would highly recommend this board. Just be aware that the ride isn’t quite as nice as a belt driven board or even a regular longboard. I’m considering the cloudwheels to see if that helps or not but overall an amazing experience! Oh, and customer service has already been great with responding and very knowledgeable.

I ran into someone who had this board and his testimony swayed me to get this and truly its an awesome board but what i will say for riding 5.2 miles a day in Tulsa Ok for work. The roads suck, so if your considering a board for a lot of transportation note that it is awesome but if you have semi bad roads just get the all terrain version its worth it.

I will be 51 in November!! I have several longboards that I still ride, but not having to push at all is amazing!! I live in a area with lost of hills and I love the power it still has going all the way to the top. I don’t have one bad thing to say. It will be a year on the 11 of November. It’s the best gift my babe surprised me with. Love to all sidewalk surfers!!!

When I intially got it, I thought there was going to be quite a bit of a learning curve compared to regular longboarding, but there really is not. I also was surpised by how big the wheels were and the size/weight of the board, but after riding it maybe 2 times I got very used to it. Now, I would probably say that when I eventually get new wheels for it I'll go for some bigger ones if possible. This is my first electric longboard and I tried to do my fair share of research on boards before making a purchase. I love my Backfire G3. It goes plenty fast for my liking, and the bamboo deck is very comfortable to ride on. It can still be a bumpy ride though when sidewalks or roads are gravely or have thick cracks, but I think that aspect is not on the board's design more so on the terrain. I got my backfire in early May and I have already put so many miles on it. The braking is very responsive as far as I know considering I have not rode other boards. I highly recommend, and I bet before I know it I'll be buying a bigger and better one in my future.

Good board but didn’t get the full extent of the range it had said. Only able to get a full 8 miles max on the board. Customer wasn’t very helpful unfortunately either.

Currently have 1360 miles of flawless shredding fun. This board has been incredibly good and reliable. ZERO ISSUES IN 1360 MILES!!!

Going to buy a board in the near future, but would be really satisfied if you had an option for remotes, I’m left handed so it would be great if your remotes came made for both left and right hands

Have not got near 28 mph, I am 135 lb so probably the lightest Rider there could be. Range varies from 11 to 14 miles. The flex in the deck is noticeable, allowing for a smoother ride over the G2 black

I Love it!!! I am a 48 year old professional in Denver and don't have time to get to the same mountains in Colorado to Snowboard that I grew up on. This board satisfies my need to carve and have some fun in the city!! Love it love it love , I’m an old man that road skate boards as a kid , I adapted fast , No Fear ! This G3 is Bad Ass , worth every penny !!!

After a long research, I finally settled for the G3. I purchased the board as a Christmas for for my son. The board arrived within 3 days. I decided to charge it and test the board. Unfortunately, it would not power on. I contacted Backfire support and they were responsive. After a few back and forth emails, I decided to return the board and not exchange it. I purchased my second choice from another brand but even with that I had problems with customer service and shipping. So, I decided to go back to Backfire and purchase another G3. The board arrived within 3 days and again, I charged it and turned it on. This time the board worked. My son was very happy with the board. I even tried it myself and went max speed. It was fun. Quality of the board is first class and as I mentioned earlier, Backfire is very responsive.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. Unfortunately he has never been able to use it because it won’t turn on even though it says it’s fully charged. I am SO disappointed. Especially because this is a gift and for the price I paid there shouldn’t be any issues.

Battery is only good for 10 miles, and I am 120LBS. It’s usually 70-80degrees where I live. So I know the weather and weight has nothing to do with the false advertisement on the battery

I haven’t been on an e board for a while but I got ahold of this one pretty quick and it’s a BLAST! It handles super nicely and the speed settings are nice too. I haven’t reached top speed yet because that’s a bit scary but other than that I absolutely love it. Not tryna be an asskisser either, this board is legitimately awesome

Got the Board in less then 2 days , went online read the does and don’ts I’m 56 so it’s definitely a mid life crises issue :-) and I’m nuts , but I was a skateboard rider as a kid and have great center of gravity… I took it out heeding all user manual warning… absolutely a blast can’t wait to practice again, I’ll keep y’all posted ☠️

Board arrived on time / first ride was 5 miles / started on eco mode to get the hang of it / by mile 3 was on sport mode / take your time and find your stance / so far / I am happy.

Ordered the G3 and absolutely love it! Haven’t had this much fun in years. When I initially got the board the remote wouldn’t pair with the board. I contacted Backfire and within 24hrs a new one was shipped to me. I sent back the original and I’ve been riding since. Great customer service and the board is so smooth. Will definitely buy my next board from Backfire!

Incredible fast board way better than expected

I absolutely love the board. I am 17 and I don't have a car, so I needed to get something else for transportation. And I already knew how to skateboard, so I thought electric longboard. And I thought right. Backfires boards are high quality, reliable, and easy to use. I would highly recommend their boards to any one.

Absolutely exceptional product. I love showing it to my friends because everything on the board is such high quality. The flexible board and led lights make the riding experience amazing any time of day. For instance, I was hesitant to buy the board because sidewalks are bumpy and uncomfortable to ride on but the boards flexibility acts like a shock, soaking up every bump with ease. Not only are the lights a cool feature to show off, they work so well. It is great that at night, all I have to do is click the power button and the lights come on, making every car and person aware of my movements. I know it sounds like I am selling the product, but I am just so thankful that every time I turn on the board it is going to perform the same fantastic way it always does. Thank you backfire for making my class changes an experience to look forwards to.

I absolutely love the board with the exception of one thing. I get a vibration in the back when I hit about 15-17 miles an hour all the way up faster from there that is very noticeable and can feel it in my rear foot. I cannot tell if it is the urethane wheel sleeves or the hubs. I’d love to get this resolved as this board has been an absolute blast to ride. My rear foot goes numb from the vibration on longer rides. I’ve put about 100 miles on the board and everything else works very well.
