Socket bolts break inside the hub motor plate, so you can’t get them out. Buyer Beware I made the mistake of buying extra hub motors and that didn’t fix the issue. Bolts either fall out or snap!

I’m 150lbs so when I saw double the input on these 600w motors compared to my stock ones, I just knew I had to get them. Riding uphill has never been easier. Leaves no impact on my battery and the extra torque gives me exactly what I need to make it through tough terrain during my rides.
My old hub motors were grinding and had a lot of resistance, so I purchased two new ones. Installation was not hard, and the board is back to its old self again. Make sure to tighten those screws though when putting wheels on! I lost two ;)

Unlike other brands they have a US warehouse meaning you get your parts faster and back riding sooner! I look forward to their future products and love my G3. I really love how easy it is to switch out the motor! No removing the esc cover. Truly plug and play. It took about ten minutes and works perfectly. Not surprising though, I've never been disappointed with any purchase from backfire.

Overall is nice but can improve with some details on painting. It doesn’t seem to keep well and some scratched along. Haven’t tried to used it yet, but hope it’s great!
The pins are incredible delicate and break easily. I had to replace my old motors, which function perfectly fine still, because every pin snapped off in the threads on the motor. I had a wheel fall off while going uphill, luckily I wasn't going fast enough to cause injury, but chasing a sleeve back down a hill just to walk back up is unfortunately annoying
it was the wrong motor for my board, if I wanted to send it back I would have to pay about €70 to send it back. and the motor I needed, you don't make anymore

Motor worked great. While testing out the replacement motor, I got an ECS OVERHEATING alert and it hasn't turned on since. Unsure if I need a new ECS or combo ECS + Battery. Other than that, it worked great
last wheel had a busted bearing, wish i could have just bought the motor though or a bearing with instructions

Got this motor under warranty after the first one broke. This one broke in 71km of riding in one season and now is not covered by warranty anymore so I have to now purchase a new one with a discount. Never had a board were the motors would always brake under 100km of riding.

I ordered right before Chinese new year, I received a spontaneous message from customer support saying the delivery will take longer than expected. I appreciated the initiative. Great product, it was super easy to replace the old motor. My board is working again !
