Esc works fine and I like the protective covering over the power button . Shipping took over a month would be what lowered my experience.

Der Regler ist ein von HobbyWing/Backfire angepasster Regler, der optimal zu Backfire-Elektroskateboards passt. Seit Juni 2020 hat Backfire das Reglergehäuse für die aktuell verfügbaren Produktlinien aktualisiert. Das Reglergehäuse passt weiterhin auf das Originaldeck und die Schraubenlöcher stimmen überein, es gibt jedoch einige wesentliche Unterschiede:
- Das neue ESC-Gehäuse verfügt über einen kleineren Netzschalter als das alte Gehäuse.
- Das neue Reglergehäuse verfügt über eine größere Kühlkörperplatte.
- Das neue Reglergehäuse verfügt über Gummidichtungen und eine Rückabdeckung.
- Das neue Reglergehäuse verfügt über zwei Öffnungen für den Kabelanschluss an die Motorkabel und ist perfekt mit 9-poligen Kabeln kompatibel. Wenn Sie das neue Reglergehäuse jedoch mit Ihren alten Regler- und Motorkabeln mit MR30-Steckern verwenden möchten, müssen Sie es modifizieren oder die Gummidichtung an den rückseitigen Öffnungen entfernen, um die Kabel hindurchzuführen.
- Mit dem neuen Reglergehäuse und den 9-poligen Kabeln können Regler und Motoren angeschlossen und getrennt werden, ohne den Regler vom Deck abnehmen zu müssen. Beim alten Reglergehäuse und den alten Motorkabeln mit MR30-Stecker muss hingegen das Reglergehäuse vom Deck entfernt werden, bevor die Kabel zwischen Regler und Motoren angeschlossen oder getrennt werden können.

I had a problem with the conection with my zealot X and the ask for support and the help me very fast, the warranty cover everything... also I was worry aboit the grip and they send me one in the box. I am really glad of backfire, I bought the G2 too to have as a 2nd board and is great too! Thanks for the support!

Works fine. Only thing I noticed is that the button’s protective coating tore really easily.
After over 2000 miles my Zealot S was acting up a bit. I figured it was the esc. I placed an order and had a new one within 3 days! Awesome customer service. It totally fixed the problem and I'm ready for another 2000+ miles. Very happy!

The esc came in a stable box, nice and safe. The only thing is that the antenna didn't come with the the paper that keeps the tape sticky but that is not a problem. Great service �
Ordered the wrong ESC by mistake, but shipping and returns processes were fast and easy. Would buy from Backfire again.
I didn't want to buy this, however I was forced to. I had intended to simply buy a replacement hub motor. This turned out to be incompatible as it had the new 9pin connector. Customer support has been the worst experience I've ever had with any vendor. Every bit of support suggest that I pay for yet another undisclosed component for the upgrade, each time asking me to pay exorbitant shipping charges and import charges. Instructions are not only incomplete but non existent. Avoid Backfire. This experience has ruined my opinion of them.
When I bought my 600w hub motors from Backfire to upgrade my G3, they lacked to tell me that I would also need an upgraded enclosure to run the motors. Needless to say, when I reached out they immediately got back to me, and compensated me for it. Never’ve had a problem with the enclosure. It has taken some hits while riding through rough terrain but never overheats or gives me grief so I’m happy.
I needed a replacement after accidentally going through a puddle. Works great and I'd reccommend taking a photo of the original connections BEFORE you unplug evrrything- it's easy to mix up left and right.
Ordered a 32kv ESC, received a 33kv ESC and have waited 4 days for a reply from customer support, but they asked for a review so here ya go. Prob be 5 stars if I had gotten the correct ESC, but I’ll just have to wait another few weeks to get back on my board.
Store owner replied: Sorry for the picker's error. Our support got your email today and already replied to you. We will take care of it, it would only take another 2 or 3 days for you to get the correct item.
Upgraded from the stock Zealot ESC to the “S” version of the ESC. So nice to not have to bend down to turn the board on!
Very responsive clean look firm to board easy install 6 screw 6 washers 2 plugs power and led lights, with water resistant rubber protective seal backfires electronics are top notch in the industry if your looking for safe reliable fun and fast you’ve come to the right place!

Bought this esc/motor set for my first diy and went back and bought another one recently for a 3rd build.
I don't think that the ESC is the problem.

Positive things to say about the board: It's very fast and it has Great torque. The options it has on the remote is crazy cool. The lights are extremely bright and makes everyone see you. Compliments no matter where you go. Goes up hill like it's nothing. Very flexible board. The sand grip has not gave me any problems and its been over 3 months. When riding at high speeds it's very stable meaning you can go thirty miles an hour For long periods of times.. The wheels can take large cracks and not bounce you off the board. There's not many bad things to say about the board other than the ESC Going Out which backfire replaced right away which was awesome. I could say that the wheels need to be better. I feel every crack in the road. I suppose the ones it came with are good but just on flat surfaces trying to ride smooth, but most of these sidewalks anywhere you go. It's definitely not smooth and they have Multiple cracks that causes a uncomfortable ride I've had the board for over 3 months and the wheels are literally falling apart for the price it should have came with the upgraded wheels fr If backfire reads this , it would be cool If I got sent the upgraded wheels. I live in downtown palmsprings These roads Aren't that bad and my wheels Are disintegrating And it hasn't even been nowhere close to a year just saying. But Love you guysss ❤️ yall are awesome. Im Having so much fun I can't explain Every time I ride downtown Palm Springs. I feel like im on vacation and not having to walk as well pshh its crazy cool.

It works great im j ust disappointed that I've had too replace it twice, cause the power button is on the under side of the deck..... and if it bottoms out on say" a curb or a rock" the power button gets easily hit and stops working. Otherwise I love my board. G3

Love my board but when it comes time to replace mothers on my Zealot S the prongs on the plug of the moter always rip off and then I have to spend another $100 to replace esc or try pulling the prongs out with a pair of needle nose pliers and this time the pliers didn't work so when you send replacement motors or better yet when your factory guys install it you need to have th put electrical connector grease on the plugs that way when it comes time to replace motors the plugs don't corrode from the heat the wire makes and the plugs stay intact and I don't have to buy a new esc every time I replace a motor thanks in advance if you guys correct this maintenance issue.
