Back right belt moter stoped working after 20 days of minimum use i use this for my daily work commute so this has been extremely inconvenient to deal with.
I payed 800$ for this and i expected it to function properly. Sill waiting on a reply from the support team but have yet to receive a response. Im hoping this issue can be resolved especially since im well within the 180 day warranty.

It was fun but I was coming home from a friends house at 2:30 am and I hit some gravel and I hit my head a little hard but otherwise an amazing ride it’s stable and comfy but hitting bumps arnt the best hit the bored handles them good enough I really like it to get me to point a to point I would recommend my friends to get it to.

First electric skateboard, stepping up from a surfskate. I surf and ride my surfskate at the skatepark, too/from the shops etc, but work is too far to skate. I bought the electric board as a fun way to commute.
So, negatives first...
At first I regretted the buy. The wheels that come with the board are too small and don't give enough ground clearance from the motors. Even on good surfaces, the slightest bump will hit the bash guards. The deck is very stiff and you can feel a lot of vibrations, that make your feet go numb after a while.
Being a longboard with RKP trucks, the turning circle is also much bigger than what I wanted, but I bought the board knowing this, with a particular upgrade in mind.
After fitting a waterborne fin system with rail adapter (You also need the extender bracket - I made my own from carbon fiber sheet, layered up, which gives a shorter wheelbase than the waterborne one) and some Mad 105 wheels, the board was transformed! It now carves muuuuch better and handles high speed well. No more numb feet, or hitting the bash guards either. Both upgrades have given a night & day improvement in ride quality, the larger wheels I would call an essential upgrade, the surf adapter personal preference.
Sadly the remote broke after around 150 miles. I think it mustve shorted out and was very well looked after.
Backfires customer support has been good. They sent me new bash guards and a new remote. Unfortunately the remote took around a month to arrive though, as was held up at UK customs.
Onto the positives!
The board is Very fast! 25mph is plenty enough and I usually cruise at around 18 - 20mph. The board will hit 30mph with ease, but is too much for where I ride. The range was as stated prior to my mods, but now will do around 15 miles with plenty of fast sections and a few hills (I am about 80kg and wear a backpack when riding)
The board is very smooth and the precision on the acceleration and braking is astonishing. The board feels solid and has a quality feel to it. The different modes are great and a very good way to ease yourself into it. The remote is user friendly and looks very cool, as does the funky purple light around the deck. It feels like something from back to the future when you ride it in the dark.
I would feel a lot better about a 12 month warranty and am really hoping the board will last without too many more problems, as I love riding it.

I did alot of research on different eboards and this one seemed the best. As this was my first Eboard I wasn't for sure what to expect. It is absolutely amazing, there is nothing better then cruising down the road at 25mph and carving back and forth. I only gave it 4 stars because there were a few videos on YouTube about the motors making a weird noise.. which it does and debating about calling. And the app is absolutely garbage! And honestly if I would of known that I may have went with meebo. Fix your app! It's in different languages and never updates my miles or mph

It’s been amazing. Love the board has made getting to work more convenient then public transportation. 10/10 also if you’re new to this life and want to try just be careful breaks are super sensitive lol. Overall it’s been fun using it and battery life is amazing.

Absolutely amazing! But there are two things. The brakes need like an ABS system because I was going around 25 mph and started breaking however the wheels locked because the breaks are way too powerful and my board went sideways and flung me off. Bloody knees and elbows with some road rash so always wear all the protective gear you can. And 2 for new people be careful about the acceleration. This thing is an absolute BEAST! It'll go even if your body says no. But otherwise the board is amazing!

I love it it's amazing but I started to hear grinding and I just got it on May 29 so I don't really know what the problem is but I'm guessing I have a faulty motor if anyone can help with this that would be great thank you.

Was on my way to work just broke 500 miles and it started making this sound I’m not sure what it is. I’ve taken everything off to check and everything seems fine replaces the belts, and stills makes that sound. (also the black belt connector is the wrong part the one that is on it is the factory more squared one. The extra ones are and bunch of small circles).other than that I’ve had no problems. Hope we can get this worked out.

The board is amazing.. Love the speed and endurance but 2 weeks after buying it the charger stop working for it, I am currently in the process of trying to get a replacement charger with the warranty but i am not getting a response back so that sucks especially with the price i paid for this board

So far, so great! This esk8 is pure QUALITY. No major issues so far and it seems very sturdy. The true test is seeing how well this rides and how much repair is needed after 500 miles, so we'll see.

Holy mother of speed.
I have found spiritual freedom in this wonderful piece of technology. We are truly living in the future. I have now harnessed the power. I am capable of traversing the concrete jungle at wicked speeds with incomprehensible style. 8 hours of ride time so far, no issues just speed.
Not sure if battery reader is really accurate. Sometimes i ride for an hour and it only loses 7 percent, sometimes it loses 50 percent in an hour. But, usually its hard to measure battery life in general with machines like this due to the power and variabilities in usage. Still, i can confidently say the zeal s2 lasts a solid 25 miles consistently. I have ridden this board like a demon, power sliding on rough roads and jumping off curbs. Wheels look the same except for mild chips of polyurethane which is expected from slides. 25+ mph very stable if you know what you're doing. Like riding a bull.
I wish a few things:
wish remote had usbc cover.
wish remote speed control wasn't right where my pointer is, sometimes I switch modes accidentally and look like an idiot for slipping off when the acceleration is off.
Wish trucks came lubercated, trucks squeak.
Wish cables for motors weren't so close to the back, they get bent if you stand the board up. you have to treat board like a piece of fine china around that area!
overall 10/10 for money and 10/10 for fun and 10/10 for reliability and 10/10 for honest marketing. does what it says on the box. what more could i possibly want???!!

It’s very fun. After modding the crap out of it it’s very smooth and turns a lot of heads. My little brother and I ride it almost daily. With that said, I wish the battery was bigger. But overall no complaints. Pleasure doin business with you, Backfire.

I bought this as my first esk8 board. Needless to say my expectations were exceeded and I’ve had countless fun using it already! I love how smooth riding feels and the looks are an eye turner for sure!

Great board only having a few slight problems. A.when I’m riding in turbo or sports for a few minutes and I let off the throttle it feels like it slams on the breaks completely for just a second almost making me fall. B. When I get a bump my board kinda cuts out power for a second

I love the board design and power, however my rear truck snapped after just two days and now I have to wait for a replacement part and I already had to wait three weeks for the boards so it just kinda bums me out but other that the defect the board is awesome
