I love the board! It's so fun to ride and has great acceleration setting! It does pretty well on most sidewalks and streets. It gets pretty fast and the remote is so easy to handle and control. I love the size, I carry it with me or toss it in my backpack pretty easily. The material of the part of the board you stand on on does chip since it's kind of like a foam. I definitely recommend getting a bumper for it as soon as you order it because when you kick the board up with the bill it will start to chip the board. Overall would get this board again!

Well we have a 52 mile paved bike path that goes from Richmond VA all the way to Williamsburg... Used to love skateboarding back in the 80s.. some odd reason being 50+ now, ive gotten into it again... I cant believe i dont see any esk8s on the path.. (hope its not illegal)�.. anyway.. fun fun, get ya one

At first was a bit skeptical but after couple hours of riding I love it. Literally the best way to cool off and very smooth on the road .

I been riding this Backfire Mini for a couple weeks now. The board is awesome in all aspects. The Cloud Wheels make for a much nicer ride on slightly rough roads. Only thing I did not care for is how close the cloud wheels got to the deck, potentially allowing for wheel-bite. I added 1/8" soft riser pads and tightened the trucks up some for piece of. mind. Other than that, I haven't had any issues and it seems to be built well. I look forward to many more miles on this thing!

Great board

This is my third electric skateboard... And let me tell you this is the best one yet. And its way less than my second board! I like the feel of the ride.. So compact also.. With gas prices so high *and me with a second dui.. * i can't complain.. I take back and fourth to work... And did I say.... You ain't gotta pay gas! Lol

Very practical for around the neighborhood and quick trips to local stores. Easy to carry in one hand while walking and plenty fast on the road. My only complaint is the compatibility with 105mm cloud wheels. During a turn or while traversing a curb, there can be wheel bite. There is room on the deck to prevent this, but the gradual slope of the carbon - which looks great - gets in the way. Perhaps version 2 will fix this oversight.

Überleg nicht lange….. das Board ist mega geil und fährt sich super easy. Mann muss auch sehr genau hinschauen um zu erkennen das es elektrisch ist. Absolutely perfect für den Alltag

Loved this thing for a month or 3 initially, then everything started going wrong. Got super loud, spontaneously kicks into reverse (dangerous!), won't charge properly/at all at times (super annoying when you think it does and want to use it), and most recently even the power button stopped working. Backfire's customer service is terrible, didn't even reply to my first email for >a month and then when they finally started responding after follow up emails they just kept dodging every complaint. I sent clear videos documenting every problem on their request, and the first few problems were well within the warranty period. Now they're just being a**holes and not replying at all and I'm stuck w a lemon. Sucks. Exploring options on better biz reporting, not worth it to sue them but if I was rich I would just to make the point. Wtf "Jerry" and team, what kind of business are you running here? Sheesh. End rant. :/

boards great response, go to board for short distances, carbon stiff, Backfire 85mm wheels gave wheel bite on board, would like to retrofit zealot rear trucks/motors and ESC if different from hub motor setup, to be able to use softer 85mm aftermarket wheels. Dont want to use Cloudwheel 105mm setup.

It wouldn’t charge . I sent it back & I’m waiting for backfire to let me know when I will get A refund or A board that works. They sent me A new charger but it wasn’t the problem.

As my first Electric skateboard it is an awesome experience. Ive had the backfire mini for about 2 months and couldn’t be happier. This board is dope!!! Cloud wheels or polys ur gonna have a fun ride! Ride safe.

One of the wheels is off the ground and so when I apply pressure to it the opposite wheel floats. I don’t know if this will go away over time, but as of now I am worried about riding it.

Insane skate, good autonomy, very intuitive to use. I broke my hand riding it but I do not regret buying it (apart from the medicinal expenses). Would recommend, ride safe.

These boards are just amazing , the weight is just 12 lbs but they are super stable, they get to 40 kph , couldnt be much lighter than than , have to have some weight for stability. Cloudwheels make a big difference on rough pavement. I enjoyed it so much and it became such an essential tool for work , that I got myself a 2nd one. I still take public transportation, but once I'm off the subway it takes me a couple mins to get to places that would take me 15 - 20 mins walking. Btw , in case you dont know anything about skateboards , dont touch the trucks bolts / screws , they are not loose , that's the way they're supposed to be, you dont wanna compress those shock absorbers too much , don't make the same mistake I made. I'm gonna send the old board for service, and that's another great think about Backfire, you get technical support , and thats a huge plus.

I've heard a lot of good things about backfire. It's what drew me to make a purchase on the mini. I'm a college student and I thought it would help with my commute a lot. I placed the order over summer (early June), as the sea shipping was suggested to take at most two months to finally arrive at my doorstep, and Since I start school late August, I thought it would come in time. It didn't, which is fine, I expected delays and such, but definitely keep this is mind when making the purchase. Expect around 2.5 to 3 months time of shipping. When it finally did arrive, I was very much disappointed with the build quality. One of the hub motors stopped working on my first time riding it, about 30 seconds in. They're still in the process of sending me parts, but I'm almost a quarter into my college semester with a new, broken board. The new parts still haven't arrived, and I would not expect a brand new board to come broken.

I purchased the backfire mini. I'm only a few days in (75miles) but the torque, the speed, the weight, and the discrete nature of this board is well worth the money. I've been street skating for years and this is the best solution for someone wanting that high speed short-board experience. It's a relatively smooth ride and it can make riding flat feel like your bombing a hill.

My son and i love riding the backfire mini around the lake by our house. We take turns and sometimes i pull him while he is on a regular skateboard.

Fun little "last mile" board, but gotta dock it a star cause i pre-ordered and then once it became available/shipped out Backfire put up a "limited full grip tape edition" w/out the really unsightly visible battery pack cutout in the grip tape. this is my biggest aesthetic qualm w an otherwise really visually appealing board, and I would have gladly paid a bit more for the full grip tape version. this is a relatively a minor thing but it is also dumb and clearly avoidable...please do better Backfire, just make the "full grip tape" standard.

Love my mini , i use it for work in NYC , completely changed the way i move around in the city .

Fast Skateboard. Cloud Wheels Work Great.

First of all, I want to disclaim this was my first electric skateboard, notable, as I’ve been skating for 20 years. This board blew my expectations out of the water. Just awesome. My singular complaint is how rigid the ride can be on less-than-ideal pavement, my feet get beat up pretty fast. Regardless, it is a really enjoyable ride, especially for my “last mile” commute. The acceleration and speed are perfect. E & S mode will serve you well. The remote is solid and intuitive. This board is great for beginners BUT I think seasoned skaters will find this board to be a good fit as it’s a familiar deck shape/responsive etc. I am now at 200 miles (322 km) and no issues despite my rugged treatment of this board. Unibody carbon fiber deck gives you a lot of confidence with durability. I could go on & on, but this board is awesome. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Thank you backfire!

So, recently I was looking for a portable board to ride with my husband. He owns a one wheel pint and we were looking for a way for both of us to get out of the house and spend time together. I didn't want something that was too heavy like his or that would require a ton of maintenance. (Belt driven boards) so I started looking around and I found the backfire mini. I preferred the gold grip tape and waited for about 2 days total. The shipping was SUPER fast. Unboxing the board was so easy. Eco mode is super gentle for anyone who hasn't ridden a board before. I have actually gotten more than 12 miles in Eco mode. I'm about 162lbs and I got 15 miles in ECO mode. This board is super sweet!!!! It's so light compared to other boards. It's super fast. I haven't even tried turbo mode yet. Lol too speed on Sport is good enough. However for all you dare devils out there, go for it!!!! My husband is jealous because my board can go faster than his and has more miles I can travel as well. The only downside to this board is to access the battery I would have to cut the grip tape. I don't think I will have to do this anytime soon but I would like to not have to cut into my beautiful grip tape. Also the remote was on the last bit of battery while my board was only on 50%. I think I may have needed to charge it fully. But the remote charges in about 30 mins so it's really not a complaint honestly. Overall I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase. As a matter of fact I'm so satisfied that I'm gonna get the G3. You can't go wrong here. Best bang for your buck!! With quality parts!!! Love love love this board.

This board is pure joy. I've been a skateboarder for over 30 yrs and this board made me fall in love with skateing all over again. It's very responsive the esc is very smooth on acceleration and braking. The torque even in eco mode is very quick. This board bolts powerful sleek good range a smooth ride and lightweight what more could you want .

I just received my backfire mini all I can say is OMG every thing is perfect!!! I'm not kidding .it looks great ! It rides like a dream ..the battery life is just amazing ..but find out for yourself you won't be let Down

I'm new to electric skateboarding. Initially I choose the Backfire Mini over the Boosted Mini X, because it was $500 cheaper & seemed. comparable. I assumed the Boosted Mini was suprior ion some ways. Nope, the Backfire wins even if they were priced the same. The Backfire is faster, quick acceleration, 4 pounds lighter, bigger wheels (for smoother ride) same distance per charge, and has a lot more ground clearance. Also, because it has hub Motors, rather than belt drive, you can use it as a normal push/trick skateboard. In fact, it looks just like a regular skateboard. Very pretty design, strong/stable board, and the concave shape really plants your feet. I'm very happy. The only slight downside is that the unibody design has a customer curves which prevents you from using standard light mounts. You'll have to wait for accessory vendors to develop a customized mount.

I have the stealth & Mini Boosted, Skatebolt , Onewheel Pint and just got my Backfire Mini. I have to say, I'm very impressed with the board. It was the least expensive of the ones I own and it is hands down one of the most fun to ride. It is so light and effortless to turn and yet as stable as a long board. It makes carving tight turns at high speed a blast. I love the hand control too. It has a loop for the wrist and gives you an instant read out of the battery status and speed. It even has a vibration when you approach half of your battery remaining, I travel a lot and I love that I can easily swap out batteries. This is now my go to board for all my commutes. Thank you for creating such an awesome board!!

Such an amazing board I did notice that my wheels are cracking and chipping after a few rides tho.

I've had the board for an entire 1 week now and the board is great with 1 exception. The range is just what I wanted, the speed is more than enough, and the way the board rides is great. The only exception is about the wheels. For only having this board for 1 week, the wheels are already diminishing. The inner edges are being worn so fast they have cracked and will break off fairly soon. I ride on a typical sidewalk and in the street when I can. This is my first E-board and I love it, but I'm not excited about having to replace the wheels so soon.
